We created short videos that show robots on their way to an unknown location. We spread these videos on the social channels of a pseudo fan-club of enthusiastic robot lovers (Twitter, Tumblr and Youtube). The videos were followed by a series of live stunts all over San Francisco, where passersby could meet and interact with the robots. We also used KITT from Knight Rider, who was able to have conversations with people around him. The stunts resulted in additional user-generated photos, videos and tweets about the Brilliant Machines phenomenon.
